FLAX SEEDS
Flax seeds are commonly known as Alsi seeds.
Botanical Name-- LINUM USITATISSIMUM
Flax seeds are a blue
flowering crop that produces small, flat seeds ranging
in color from golden yellow to reddish brown.
The seeds are commonly consumed in one of the 3 ways
whole seed, ground seed, or flaxseed oil.
Most of the benefits
reported from flaxseed consumption are believed to be

Alpha- Linolenic Acid, Lignans, Fiber.
Flaxseeds oil is unique oil that it is composed of 73% polysaturated fatty acid (PUFA), 18% Monosaturared fatty acid (MUFA), and 9% Saturated fatty acid (SFA).
Making it a low
saturated fat food It is also the richest known source
of the Omega 3 fatty acids, ALA, which comprises 55% of
the total fatty acid.
Flax seeds are one of the world's renowned super foods.
